Vialone Nano


This is the traditional risotto rice of the Veneto region in Italy.  It is of a high quality, absorbing flavours effectively during the cooking process and offers a high yield on the plate.  The protein structure of the rice ensures the rice holds its shape extremely well giving it a firm bite.  Slightly nutty in flavour with a lower starch content compared with carnaroli, vialone nano is perfect with earthy ingredients such as porcini, pumpkin and sage.  This rice is naturally gluten free.
